List of markets. What are some niches to reach out to?

So far I've only come across the obvious ones:

• restaurants
• shops
• gyms
• private trainers
• dentists
• vets
• lawyers
• health practitioners
• plumbers
• electricians
• manufacturers - materials, tools, electronics

I bet there's a bunch of better niche markets out there that are completely in my blind spot. What am I missing?

There's a million different markets. For example, add pornstars to your list. Or horse groomers. Or porn stars that do horse porn. Anything your brain can think of. Anything that exists. Writing out a list of all the "markets" is pointless.

If you're truly drawing a blank after getting this far, I would suggest you drive around town and simply list the businesses you pass. Now you have a list of all the brick and mortar businesses in your town. Now narrow it down to (A) which ones need the service you offer and (B) which ones have higher profit margins so they can pay you well and it isn't so hard to close deals.

If you want an even longer list, here's a list of the NAICS codes, where every conceivable industry, subsector, niche, and subniche is cataloged.

Click on the numbers to dive deeper into the list. For instance, if you click on 23 Construction, you come to a page with 73 records of sub-industries within construction, such as

236115 New Single-Family Housing Construction (except Operative Builders)

236117 New Housing Operative Builders

236118 Residential Remodelers

Then if you click on THOSE numbers, you get even more detail. For instance, if you click on 236118 Residential Remodelers, you get a few paragraphs with related industries and then a list of 21 sub-niches, such as fire and flood restoration, porch and deck construction, home remodeling, and handyman services.

A word of caution: Getting into this much detail could either get you unstuck or bog you down in paralysis over the sheer magnitude of choices. So make sure you approach this with a strong action bias.

Rather than sifting through the whole list to find the "perfect" niche, try saying to yourself, "The first one I find that's even remotely viable, I'm gonna go with that one. If I can make it work, great! If not, I'll move to the next one."

For that matter, your original list probably contains the answer. If you're building websites, you can essentially pick one at random, like veterinarians, and you'll probably be set for life. Find a way to skew value, so that your website is better than the site the vet clinic already has. Maybe you offer a better appointment scheduler and email/sms follow up system. Maybe you offer better content writing. Whatever.

In other words, many niches can be profitable. Don't overthink this too much.
