TDM Cycle 1 - The Human Condition
This morning I completed the first work of Cycle 1 - The Human Condition. The piece is titled, "Fear" for simplicity. This is the first time Terminal Depletion Method has been applied under its name.
Cycle 1 began with a randomized inventory of 3,500 Lego pieces in various shapes, sizes, and colors pulled from the greater 13,427 piece inventory. Using 609 of those pieces (not counting the 2 baseplates as I consider those canvas), I created what you see above.
Remaining Pieces in the TDM inventory: 2,891
"Fear" used quite a lot of some small pieces, but I opted to create the design with larger pieces overall as I think smaller pieces will come in handy after I've created multiple mosaics and when the larger pieces start to dwindle.
Going forward, I must exhaust the entirety of the 2,891 pieces before the Cycle is complete and can be sealed. I don't know how many creations will come from this or what my next work within this inventory will be.
"Fear" set the Cycle in motion. Whatever comes next has been irreversibly influenced by the first creation of its kind.
