Finished reading The Great Rat Race Escape whilst listening to it on audible too. Great juxtaposition between fiction and non-fiction, a unique take on this genre. Kudo's to MJ for the execution.

Listened to it. Felt it took a minute to get started on the fiction side, not gonna lie. Not talking about it being a slow-burn or anything - I love those - but more like a lot of the chapters on how desperate they're getting could've been shortened maybe? Everybody's an armchair general, though. On the practical side of stuff, I liked it. I'm especially surprised I ended up liking the whole strategies thing - when I heard MJ talk about how many strategies & tips he had in the beginning, I thought he went full gimmick on us. Goes to show that just cause something is overdone in the format, doesn't make for a knock against the individual text.

The fictional characters' journey towards an Unscripted life illustrates by using what works in their family, something like a favorite soup, can be turned into profitable products. A timely read, MJ. I appreciate your intuitive yet scientific approach, to business building and helping others do the same.

I just finished the book last night. It’s bittersweet cause now I have to take action, and it’s a bit scary. I’ve gotta breakthrough my barriers and just get to ideas and execution.
It was a good read. I enjoyed the story With the principles integrated. I do think MJ’s writing has matured, and I liked the unorthodox way of getting the story to combine well with the principles by getting you emotionally involved.
im already starting today to get some ideas that make ’CENTS.’

Hi, just bought it! Right now in the process of developing a web site of speech therapy. Want to develop and online test to evaluate if your child needs help, what you can do from home, speech therapy leads, etc.

Listened to this book on Audible. First of all, I expected a business novel similar to the books of Eliyahu Goldratt (like "The Goal"). Kind of liked it, that the story and the deep business explanations take turns as the story unfolds.

Love these books. Thank you! I've run multiple successful - somewhat traditional - businesses. I've been able to create a decent amount of equity, and a bit of passive cashflow, but still want to build a real cashflow business and/or one that I can sell. So here I am to learn more.

As the saying goes - when the student is ready the teacher will appear - or something like that.

It started with TMF , then some action faking, then some false starts, then UNSCRIPTED got me on track. I've been hard at it for two years growing this new biz of mine and was starting to feel like I was treading water, just trying to get my bearings again. And along comes Escaping the Rat Race. A business trip that involved a long drive provided the perfect opportunity to listen to that Audible version that had been sitting on my shelf for a while. The timing was perfect.

The only problem is that now I have to order the paperback so I can turn down some pages and refer back to them from time to time.

Another great book MJ, thanks!

I’ve read TGRRE twice now and going through it a third time. A lot of principles and concepts to absorb. I enjoyed the story along with the knowledge. An excellent distillation and expansion on the first two books. I’m still greatly appreciative to MJ for his no nonsense knowledge bombs. I haven’t had a life altering exit yet but it’s inevitable.
