Has this company got a good idea here? Will they succeed with it? Is this potentially a Fastlane business concept?
About us
I think this is a great idea they have here, maybe with a few tweaks. But I'm not sure I see a real NEED here? So I'm wondering if you could help me out with your thoughts?
It's a surprise gift posting service:
The idea is that you choose a small gift for a friend from a purpose built app the company have built. Once you've chosen the gift, you type in the receiver of the gifts cell/mobile number into the app and you can also add a message to send off if you want to. The receiver of the gift then receives a text message telling them that they have a gift waiting for them from a friend and to reply back with an address where they would like to receive the gift. You don't need to know the persons address and the whole idea is to basically surprise someone with a little treat through the post.
I think it's a novel idea, but like I said I'm not so sure if there is a real need for this type of service? What's the difference when I can just send the gift myself through the post if I fancy treating a friend to a little surprise gift?I guess it's definitely more convenient to have someone else do it for me though and I don't need to know the other persons address either, just their number..
What do you think? I'll have a think about it and do some research of course, but I would like to have a second opinion from you here.
Is it a good idea?
Thanks
Ed
