A lot of good sense in Antti's post, but the stuff quoted above shines. Don't ever imagine why a seller wants to sell. Chances are if they tell you, you are still not getting the real story either.

See comment above, but I think (imagine) :smile2:the most likely reason is that the vendor knows that his/her product/s are starting to fade in popularity, or the going is getting tough for some other reason.

I made decent money on FBA. Not life-changing but it did replace my day job income (I used to work in finance).

If you want to use Amazon as an income channel - go for it but remember. Its a lot of hard work. Don't rely on Amazon for all your income because you are never in control.

One more thing is that running a physical product based business requires a lot of capital. If your Amazon store makes $3-$5k a month in profit you cannot just take all that money and use it for your living expenses. In my experience, at that point you cannot really take any money out of the business. You need it to purchase more inventory and develop the business. I think you mentioned that you are not quitting your job but I think it's still important to remember this. If you are buying an FBA business for $100k, don't expect to live off of it right away.
