A lot of good sense in Antti's post, but the stuff quoted above shines. Don't ever imagine why a seller wants to sell. Chances are if they tell you, you are still not getting the real story either.
See comment above, but I think (imagine) the most likely reason is that the vendor knows that his/her product/s are starting to fade in popularity, or the going is getting tough for some other reason.

I made decent money on FBA. Not life-changing but it did replace my day job income (I used to work in finance).
If you want to use Amazon as an income channel - go for it but remember. Its a lot of hard work. Don't rely on Amazon for all your income because you are never in control.
