My name is Curtis. I live in a small farming community in Colorado. I recently read MJ's book and it woke me up. Currently I am doing the 5 for 2 game, plus benefits, which include answerring support calls 24x7 365 days per year. I am a IT support supervisor at my job. For the past 10 years I've had the desire for starting my own computer business, except I have never taken action. I feel like if I don't start now then I will most likely work for somebody my whole life.
Couple of ideas that have. I like the first idea the best (not really in my career field, which I guess doesn't matter). I do however have a passion for working with animals and even contemplated on becoming a Vet once upon a time in my life....
1. My wife started a dog grooming business earlier this year and it seems to be taking off for her. I am interested in knowing if Franchising would be a good Fastlane here ? I would also like to take it further and start up a Mobile Grooming business. I can possibly do this Part Time while I work my Full Time job and then eventually move into this.
2. Computer Opportunity - I have no ideas yet and I've been brainstorming, still looking though. Like I mentioned above I have a desire to start my own computer business however I am a little burned out by doing it as another job ! If I come up with a good idea I want to use the Internet as my vehicle for the business. Still looking....
3. My grandparents/uncle have been in real estate & mortgages for a very long time and I have a desire to go into this as investment opportunities. I've read that Real Estate is not necessarily a Fastlane except if you buy many properties and/or upscale properties. I like this as a possibility of generating some passive income for the future by renting out my properties. Just an idea at the moment.
Above is what I have so far....I plan to setup a timeline & goals to achieve. Any advice from others will be greatly appreciated. Thanks MJ, i really enjoyed the book and it is helping me take the next steps.
