Hey Gang,
I've been thinking about a new idea for ski tickets (and snowboard tickets) and how they are currently produced. Yes, I work in the ski industry. Are there any skiers/boarders out there that know the in's and out's of the administrative functions of most ski resorts? Specifically, I'm interested to get more information on what computer system/software most resorts are using for processing and printing lift tickets. If so, I'd love to talk to you.
I'm also trying to figure out how many tickets are printed and what the cost is for printing for the average resort (if there is such a thing as an "average").
I have an idea that would change how the currently system works, but I need to figure out how it would incorporate and work with the current system. This may be a little vague, but I'm trying to track down who I can contact that would have information and stats on ski hills/resorts/fields.
I would like to find info on:
1) Current computer software system for taking payment/printing tickets
2) # of tickets sold each day through the season
3) Cost of printing tickets for the operation
