If there is one area in my life where I've been struggling as of late, it's been productivity and focus. While I know the ups-and-downs of my health situation have contributed, lack of productivity has always been "hit or miss" in my entire life.

When John Dumas (podcaster and business owner of Entrepreneur on Fire) approached me about his "Mastery Journal" I told him I would check it out. I don't play the "Ill scratch your back, you scratch mine" game unless I totally believe in the product. He sent me the inner pages and I was impressed and honestly think it could help me. I wish I had something like this when I was younger.

Therefore, I've just backed his project which you can find here.

The Mastery Journal: Master Productivity, Discipline & Focus

Many of us older guys have spoken about the benefits of WRITING in journals, versus using digital applications. I don't know what it is, but having a physical notebook and physically writing the content is a totally different mental connection than just clicking some buttons on an app.

Looks like delivery is in March -- and I would recommend the HARDBACK version which takes advantage of the physicality.

Check it out ... I'll report back once I take delivery and start using!

Thanks for sharing this product MJ! Purchased one as well. Becoming more focused on the 20% of things that gives me 80% of desired results has been my challenge. Old school paper copy is nice as you can review it anywhere.

Gotta love kickstarter. Get your customers to advance you the funds before you go to production. The simple genius of it hurts my brain. :clench:

I see the raise has gone from 30k to almost 60 since @MJ DeMarco mentioned it on the forum. You got that Midas touch man.

Seems like another version of JLD's freedom journal.

Thanks for sharing this product MJ!

Something like this needs to be used 4X daily and end up tattered, beaten, and abused for it to be effective. Don't let the nice cover dissuade you from putting it through its trials. It doesn't belong on a shelf.

Seems like another version of JLD's freedom journal.

I'm not familiar with his prior projects -- this struck me because it seems to be productivity centered which I admittedly suck at.

Reminds me of 'Five Minute Journal' but a bit more actionable and less introspective- I'm a big Alex Ikonn fan. Have been looking to order something like one of these last couple days.

Listening to JLD is what got my "mindset change" journey started. He has great energy and podcast format.

I'm typically burst productive. I get a desired deliverable and I smash it out fairly quickly.

The problem in the past is that I was productive with the wrong mindset which meant I got a lot done but unfortunately my output was in the wrong direction.

These days I'm more selective with my productivity.

Il give it a look now

Does anyone know anything about the Freedom Journal JLD wrote? I am interested in it,but every review I have heard, or read makes it seem too good to be true.
