For as long as I can remember, ever since I was a kid, something just felt F*cking off about this world. Hearing left and right "there's not enough money" "need more money" or "it just doesn't work that way" or the one I hated the absolute most "that's just the way life is, kid." I knew from the start there is more to life. I have grown up in a severely mediocre thinking family and rather poor given the absent financial education. As a side note, I am born and raised & live in Romania, the overwhelming majority of people here have a very limited mindset and rather depressing view upon life. Everybody lives like there's no tomorrow; in the bad way.

I've wasted my passion for life and creativity via indulging into modern consumerism big time. Lots of video games, porn, hanging out with people who thought having big ambitions is cringe, the whole nine yards.

One game that I was particularly investing my time into was 'ROBLOX'. Played that for a very long time until I decided to try 3D modeling because I was curious how do games have all of these objects around and how they were made.

Fast forward a few months I was doing 3D modeling commissions for people earning from as little as $70 to $350+ per commission. I remember the first time I made my first money online, which was $350 -- Roblox has this program called DevEx which at the time the minimum threshold for cashing out was 100,000 Robux (in-game currency) which translates to $350 USD.

I ended up easily being capable of earning $1,000+ every month from 3D modeling commissions, I was making money from home at the age of 16! For me, that was a huge achievement. $1,000 is considered a pretty good salary in Romania. But I wanted way more than that. One of my clients owned a type of game on ROBLOX (an 'Outfit' game where people come in and buy accessories and clothing made by others put together in outfits for them to wear on their avatars) that was earning him thousands upon thousands of dollars every month. He even showed me how one month he earned $11,000, I was blown away.

You can already guess what happened next, I made one such game myself and whilst I did not see the same numbers as this guy I was making more than what I was making with 3D modeling 'passively'. However, as time went on, I've gotten complacent. I had no other direction in my life. I've completely IGNORED all other aspects of life MJ DeMarco talks about in TMF , all I focused on was the money and as quickly as that money came that's how I spent in. I always thought of myself as a financially disciplined person but my lizard brain got the best of me and fallen victim to the world of consumerism, this period of money making was followed by a huge depression.

I have earned a total of approximately $14,000 online net. I am now digging myself out of the rut I've put myself in, reviving my now dead but once highly effective ROBLOX business as the potential for the money it can earn me is immense. But this time I am taking into account all aspects of life. I'm choosing to live healthier, understand myself on a profound level, exercise, eat right, meet and spend time with quality people and if I don't find them hell just interact and have a chat with a random stranger. I am also taking great interest in AI and a specific sub-niche of it as I want to extend my skillset and money making abilities outside of the ROBLOX spectrum (although this has taught me various skills that can be applied in other places).

One of my biggest struggles is loneliness, very few people can relate to me and my story on any level. Almost everybody I meet thinks I am crazy for having such ambitions and taking this 'too seriously'. I know for a FACT there are people on this forum who can very well relate at least to some of the things I've wrote on here. If so, please let me know below.

I am mainly here to feel like I belong somewhere, to seek insights and even potentially make long-lasting friendships. I am not necessarily looking for specific 'techniques' and all of that as I believe that's not what someone who wants to become a successful entrepreneur requires.

Welcome to the Forum!

If I might say so...from your post itself, you are already ahead of your other 18-year old peers!
I myself wasn't even earning a single buck at that time, let alone from Roblox.

Honestly even with my current circle of folks who live lives that I'd like to model after, I myself still have my moments where I worry if one day all this is taken away...what next?

I guess the only solution here is to always be networking. Always be looking for good people to be with.

The approach that has worked for me many a time:

Find a great skill or hobby that successful people like.

Can be golf or cars, as some folks on the Forum gravitate to. Mine was stocks trading and even religion.

Find out where they congregate offline or online, and contribute your opinions or help there on a regular basis without expecting anything in return. Just help wherever you can. You don't have to spend 24/7 for this.

You'll be surprised when folks start to notice you.

Hey Christian,

Awesome story! Thanks for sharing!

I'm curious to what skills did you develop along your journey in ROBLOX?

Thank you for the reply and welcome ZF Lee! I'm aware I am ahead of many of my peers but I once let that get to my head and used that as the only grade of comparison -- it hasn't served me well, don't serve anybody well haha.

That's a top tier recommendation man. I've been thinking about that too, given my previous money-making period as a newbie like I have said in my post, I completely NEGLECTED all other aspects of my life, I haven't left my house man.

I will get into MMA and Tactical Training, I feel a passion for them, not sure if this is what 'rich people do' or a 'rich people hobby' but who knows.

Great advice!

Hey Christian,

Eric
Hey Eric,

Thank you! I appreciate your time given to reading it.

Skill-wise, ROBLOX has taught me how to look for talented people to hire when creating my product (in this case, my game). It took a great while to find a good programmer for my game and I paid him with the money I made with 3D modeling in the beginning. (technical skill, not necessarily business advantageous)

ROBLOX has also taught me how to look at analytics dashboards, charts and use this data effectively. This platform has a really in-depth Analytics system that allows developers to look at general components such as: Retention, Engagement, Acquisition, Audience, Monetization etc etc.. each with subsequent specifics such as CTR, Retention Rate, Hourly Revenue, CVR etc

But ROBLOX has primarily helped me develop character in terms of resilience, problem solving, resourcefulness, developing thinking abilities to create more leverage, things that I believe can be applied universally.

The man himself!

Appreciate the welcome brother, and thank you for the feedback.

That's freaking awesome to have another folk from Romania right here with such success! I've never had a doubt or even a thought that my country would somehow inhibit my ability to be successful. Screw that.

I've already signed up to GoalSumo.com.com and set up my first money goal this year.

$1,000 is considered a pretty good salary in Romania.
Congrats, you’ve already made more money than most people on fastlaneforum by yourself (referencing the $14K) :D And you’re just 18.

Referncing your statement above, I’d say this depends on who you compare yourself to. I know people in Romania who aren’t business owners who make $5K-8K/mo after taxes. There’s a lot of them, especially in legal, IT, sales, or medicine. And I’m not talking about CEOs, directors and executives — there are many of those who earn $20K+/mo lol.

But nowadays, a $1K net per month in Romania isn’t that much. It’s basically the average net salary after taxes: List of European countries by average wage - Wikipedia

$1K today isn’t what $1K was 10 years ago. Back 10 years ago average wage was at least 1/2 of what it is today. Cost of living especially outside of countryside areas has increased significantly.

And if you consider just the big cities (not countryside areas), $1K is below average net salary.

Appreciate your reply!

Thank you for the research man. I mean I myself figured there are some people at the forefront of their field who earn $5k-8k like you have said, but don't know how many of them there actually are.

You know what, thank you so much for the $1k reality check. $1k - $1.8k is my current flow of income per month. This just motivated me to push x100 as hard because I hate the thought of not making exponentially more than slowlaners internationally through my entrepreneurship ventures.

Glad to see a fellow Romanian with such a mindset!

Also, you are already successful, making a good amount of money online, as you don't pay for gas, and have your own schedule. It's a lot! Yeah, in terms of money, it might not be that much if your lifestyle is luxurious.
Take something else in mind: my friend works at HP, team-leader, where he earns just a little more than you. More responsibility ,he had finished his bachelor's and master's degree with 9.5-10 and has lots of experience and courses.

Now it's just about scaling your skill and money will come.

Actually, you know what? You are more entrepreneur than 99.0% of everyone here, as most people are wantrepreneurs and most are broke.

Hi Christian!

I'm Misha, 20 years old guy from Ukraine. I didn't expect to find anything like your thread here. I also like 3d modelling and 3-4 years ago, when i was 16, i looked at success of Jailbreak game and decided to create a game in Roblox, but quickly gave up( Recently I had to move to Bucharest because of the war, hoping for the best future. I would be very glad to find like-minded people here like you and make new friends, especially since I am sure that we will have something to talk about.
