I have been in the healthcare field for over ten years, and have developed an idea that meets a significant need in the long term care setting, but I do not have the tech knowledge to move forward with this project. I would need someone very knowledgeable in computer programming/interface systems to help me develop this product. It incorporates electronic charting, a medicare mandate, which is not new, nor the main focus of the system, but also other inputs.
I have yet to see a system such as this, perhaps because it hasn't been developed, or perhaps because of cost, yet could be a huge factor for a facility when facing legal action, good or bad, that depends on the facility.
Thoughts?
The premise of any enterprise that grows legs (and if you don’t want it to grow legs what’s the point) is that specialized skills are preformed by specialized people. I personally wouldn’t waste my time trying to learn whatever it is and learn to lead. Hire it done and get it done.
You have the grand vision... there is a reason why the technical folks of the world haven’t taken every idea yet.
