I just saw my first Lamborghini!

I just saw a Lambo for the first time. I don't know what specific type, I'm not a car guy. It was just a black Lamborghini. Personally, I don't really care that much when I see a luxury car, but I immediately associated the Lambo with the Millionaire Fastlane , and it served as a bit of a kick up the butt to keep moving on my quit smoking book.

I've been dragging my feet on finishing it, I'm so close to completing the second draft before submitting it for editing, but the closer I get, the harder it seems to be to go on. I've been a serial non-completionist my entire life so completing this book is kinda like telling my self doubting unconscious to go jump, so I really need to get it done, but that non-completionist side of me has been hitting me harder and harder the closer I get. I feel like I need to finish it to prove something to myself, even if I only sell one copy.

Anyway, even though I don't really care for Lambo's and luxury cars, the sight of that thing and its association to the millionaire fastlane has given me a good solid reminder that I need to stop wasting my time and finish this book, as I never even would have started if I hadn't read TMF !

You said you were going to submit it for editing.
Why do you need to start learning about editing?

Hire an editor
Start working on your marketing strategy to make sales.
Start building a list of potential buyers for your book release.

Until your book is SELLING you are still that serial non-completionist

Was your original goal to write a book that nobody reads?
Of course not.

Don't let your serial non-completionist tendencies convince you that just finishing the book is enough
it's NOT.

Your next step is to market the book properly and start making sales and build a list from it.

Can someone throw in an example what would a marketing strategy for this sort of product look like? Semantically, marketing strategy as a phrase scares the shit out of me. It reminds me of all the tv shows where Don Draper sort of guy has to display a momentary genius to the investors/clients. If you're a one man enterprise, what sort of "strategy" would you need?

I can relate! I saw my first in person and up close the other night in Downtown Cincinnati. I was in a rush at the time, but the excitement oozed from me and it was such an exhilarating experience. Pure motivation for me, personally. Freedom will come. Thanks for sharing!

I personally don't feel attracted to luxury cars neither, but I figure when I see a lambo for the first time, I'll associate it with someone successful.

Well it stuck me right now...you can display and sell your book on all smoking joints.
You target is audience thats into smoking .So good luck finding em [emoji106][emoji106]

Man, I've been wanting a Lamborghini for a long time now. A Ferrari, too.

I'm pretty close to getting my first one. I'll post pics for sure.

If I had a genie in a bottle, and my first wish was to be an up-and-coming warlord in corporate America, then I would include in that wish a $5,000,000 car stipend.

A Lamborghini, a Bugatti, Maserati would all be included.

I seem to sense a little anti-Ferrari animosity on this thread. Not sure why...

Either way, I think I need to have a 458 collection. It's just because I love these cars. I love their sound. I love their look. When I was younger, I looked at these the way my buddies looked at porn.

I just have to have it. Few things are cooler. Only jets, yachts islands and island homes.

Top gear is a great show. I'll happy drive my VW Amarok around for the rest of my life, I'm a big dude, I don't think I'd actually fit in a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. I'm looking forward to the marketing stage, lots to learn. I reckon I'll start off by putting posters in all the smoking areas at work and then go from there. I can't wait to start selling books.

Eh, probably just not everyone's cup of tea. I like all of the mentioned vehicles, but wouldn't own one if I could just because of personal preference.

The dodge viper to me is my equivalent of the lambo for everyone else. Just personal preference.
