So, today was my 21st birthday, and I've been working my a$$ off to try to make more and more money. This sounds absurd, but I wanted to get some motivation. My dad and I drove down to a Ferrari dealer and the salesman obviously knew I was just some guy who was starstruck by these machines and couldn't even dream of buying one at the time being, but he really started talking to me. Any question I had, he answered like a real person and not "Well, are you buying it or not?". A really, REALLY cool guy.
So after my mouth is dry from ranting on about how much I'd love to buy one some day, I kind of mumbled out the question "Could you start one?". He goes "Listen, are you trying to say you want me to start one?". I'm like "Ye.....yes.....yes, that would be awesome". He goes "Pick one, anything". And I said "Ok fine, the 599 GTB". He walks out of the room, comes back in, and tells me to get in the car. Showed me how to start it, and I gotta say, that V12 coldstart was deafening.
People who work with High End exotics probably find this laughable, but man, what a freaking experience... something I'll always remember. And when the day comes that I've worked myself to the bone, and I can afford one, I know who I'm buying from! lol
And I know I seem obsessed with cars, which I am. But I really have changed my habits from looking at cars 85% of the time on youtube, to working 15%. Now it's 95% of my time is working/perfecting, and 5% thinking about how I could be working more.
