Hi fastlaners!
First of all, thanks Mj and the community for creating such unique forum, I couldn't believe it the first time I entered here, other than real life, I dont know other place where you can learn so much.
If you haven't noticed yet, I dont speak english very well, thats because my primary language is spanish, sorry If I dont explain very well at times.
Im from Chile and I have 19 years old, I stumbled across this forum more than 2.5 years ago when I was creating my first "serious" business, back then ( 16 years old ) I didn't have the fastlane mentality and I was reading a lot of books to know what the hell I was doing, I didn't have a clue of the "how tos" of what I wanted to do and knew nothing about sales.
The typical, nobody believed in me, my friends laughed at me and my parents said to just focus on school, I've always HATED school.
Short story, I had success, in the peak of the business I was making more than $2000 in just one day ( I didn't have sales everyday ).
It was all good until my parents told me to stop because I needed to focus on my future (a degree).
In Chile, there is an exam that everyone needs to make to be able to apply for universities, every student that wants to enter a good university is going to break his head studying for this exam, you are a loser here if you dont go to a university.
It was my last year of high school so at the end of that year it was going to be my turn to make the famous exam to apply to universities, you guessed, I didn't wanted to go.
I didn't event told my parents that I didn't wanted to go, I didn't told them that I hated the system, that I hated in every possible way what everyone does: get a degree --> work 40 years for other people. In fact, writing that makes me angry, I dont know how can anyone accept such life, anyway...
I took the exam to make my parents happy and because I was really interested in seeing with my own eyes what was like being in the university.
1 month before entering university I realized that I was following the path that I said I would never be part of.
I realized that I was becoming comfortable with my current situation.
After I closed my business under my parents request, I tried a lot of ideas and lost a lot of money, failure after failure, I just stopped trying and just expected something to happen, cuz you know, I was sure I was going to make it happen!.
I have read so many times that same old story, yet, the same thing was happening to me.

Fast forward 5 months.
3 months have passed since I entered university. Im just going because my parents are paying it and because I want to make them happy for 1 year and prove them Im not some lazy guy that just want to drop out.
That doesn't mean Im actually wasting my time studying.
It has been all about my new ideas and objectives.
I haven't been so focused on my life, I cant go to sleep because I keep thinking that Im wasting time.
I get up between 4:30 and 6:00 every single day to work.
No parties, no negative people, not wasting time with bs.
If Im not working I feel like Im letting my life escape and that I will be a slowlaner for the rest of my life.
My desire to succeed and to enjoy life is so strong that I cant even explain it.
This forum has helped me in every possible way, thanks to each one of you.
Im really looking forward to go to the Fastlane Summit 2017, so Im introducing myself now. ( I read what you said Mj, about anonymous people showing up )
Thanks for reading and sorry for the broken english and grammar.
