I'm Asha, I'm a university student (MIS major) that's just about to graduate. I've had two jobs in IT, the second one currently being helping out people via calls which is pretty exhausting as a deaf person haha but it's not too bad since it's part-time. I just know my career path would lead me into constantly waiting for the weekend and never really finding time for myself. I also love technology so I'm afraid that technology being my job would take the fun out of it (the book does talk about that as well so that pretty much confirms it). I'm primarily motivated to start a business because of my parents, not them pushing me into it but so they can live comfortably after retirement. They deserve it honestly. They've spent 30 years hating their job and constantly tired to support the family, which does bring me to my next motivation: I don't want that to be my life either.
I've always wanted to be an inventor and make things that are useful to people, but I admit I always thought creating a business was out of my reach. The books have definitely changed my mindset. I know it'll be hard and that there'll be bumps, but creating a business that has actual customers that find my product helpful sounds worth it. Being financially comfortable enough to support the people I love is a perk as well.
I dunno if you got this far, but if you did, thanks for reading! I'm gonna make a plan to take action as soon as I can with the help of the books + the forum resources
