I was reading the new issue of Entrepreneur Magazine and came across an article about getting your product into big box retailers.

A woman named Karen Waksman created a program with all the info you need to get in touch with buyers, talk to buyers, what chains look for, etc........

It looks like a great program and I'm going to give it a shot. Has anyone heard about this program or tried it yet?

Loving this program so far. It's loaded with a ton of great info. I feel I'm almost ready to start pitching buyers. I also set up a call with the creator of the program, Karen Waksman, to discuss my packaging and a few other things. The loves the product and hopefully she can give me some inside tips to help me out. Calls set up for Friday at 3pm. Can't wait. :)

Great so far. I learned a lot from the program. I have all systems in place now, to start approaching buyers. Proper UPC, EDI systems, Product liability insurance, all necessary info from my manufacturer, shipping info, etc. Basically everything they look for. I think I'll feel a lot more comfortable approaching a buyer, because now I know what their looking to hear.

I'm buying a list from 'Chain Store Guide' this week. It's a list of every buyer, with all contact info, in my specific industry. We have the trade show coming up in a few weeks, so we are going to send our post cards (on Vigilante's recommendation), to select buyers that we want to speak to. We will see how the trade show goes, and then continue to contact buyers after the show.

Added bonus is that she does conference calls once a month to answer questions, and you have her direct email and Facebook as well.

it seems like it's well worth the money. I'll keep you guys updated.
