How to market graphic designer?

My brother is a very good graphic designer although this isn't his primary income. He is can produce quality work very very quickly and I'm not just saying that because he's my brother, he genuinely is good and efficient. He can make a decent logo or album cover etc in about 30 mins - 1 hour. At the moment he is contacting musicians, comedians and entertainers directly to try to get his name out there. I've said I'll create a website with him and do the SEO, it would be pretty good for me to get a bit more practice and experience with html and css aswell. I'm not sure though that contacting entertainers is the best way of get his name out there, obviously it can't do any harm and he is getting responses. At the moment I think he is more bothered about creating a reputable company than bringing in loads of money straight away. What do you fastlaners think is the best way for him to market himself?
