I'm writing "Comment" with a weird Spanish, like Çomment Now. Seems to work.

Interesting strategy I'm thinking about doing something similar with a hotel chain that we are currently working with. Really enjoy your videos but get a better mic damnit

What kind of timeframe you typically put on these posts? Do you say that they only run for a month? Or do you say it runs in definitely and you draw once a month? Just kind of curious how you are handling this.

Been live for about 8 hours and so far have 10 subscribers on many chat. People started to really engage between 7-10 pm while hanging out on the couch. Thanks for the hack @codo3500! Now I just hope I can get some conversions at the end of all this. I will be funneling to my Shopify store with a 20% off consolation prize. I don't know if that's irresistible enough but it's all I can offer. +rep

Did not expect this, my giveaway has gone viral.

I am 5 days into a 10 day campaign. My facebook boost settings are as targeted as it can get. My total budget for this 10 day facebook boost is $100 (though it's projected to cost a little less than $100 when all is said and done. My prize has a total value of about $50.

Up until this point, I have:

323 opt-in subscribers on facebook messenger.
250 likes on the post, 50 shares, 700 comments.

Another tweak that I found to work quite well is asking the contestant what color product they would like just in case they win. This puts them in the mindset of winning. Hopefully, they will just buy the product if they don't win the contest since they already pictured themselves with said product.

I also included a link of my Shopify site for them to check out the colors. Because of this, visits to my site have skyrocketed, though there have been no sales, which makes sense since the contest is still ongoing. I also added top-selling amazon products related to my niche, to my Shopify site using the app Spreadr (affiliate marketing).

I am now brainstorming on what the best strategy is to convert these leads when the contest is complete. As of now, I am planning on offering everyone 20% off my products.

    Great work man!

I love the color idea. I'm going to launch one soon where it's a "Say why you deserve to win in 25 words or less", I feel like the FB Algo will favor this, as it's going to look like more legit comments.

Great work on taking action man!

I ran a competition like this over the last week and here are the results:

    Prize value approximately $150
    Ad spend $225
    Revenue generated $200
    Comments on post over 500
    Entries into competition over 400

Ways I could improve next time:

    1. There was a sizable difference between the number of entries/subscribers on manychat and the number of comments on the ad. Potentially due to the bot not grabbing some comments but also maybe just lots of comments tagging friends didn't look into this too closely and I should.

    2. More diverse ad targeting, I used an audience which has been profitable on Facebook previously perhaps diversifying my targeting to a few different audiences would be better next time.

    3. Better follow up message sequence to get the user on our website before contest

Yeah good question should have mentioned that. Essentially 30% off a package of products that the customer got to build

Then I think that's where you should focus next time.

This type of campaign is a "top of funnel" campaign. That means that you should give them an irresistible offer. And the primary focus should be to acquire new customers without losing money.

So the real question in this campaign is how many customers did you acquire. Then if you know your customers' LTV, you can really see if the campaign is a win or not.

But the key is, to begin with an offer they can't refuse (like the free pass to the gym for X days that the OP did)
