Hey guys, so its pretty obvious that we all want to be as productive as possible, using the limited 24 hours we have each day as efficiently as we can. But I'm sure even the veteran hustlers out there hit a motivational slump every now and then...

As I write this I'm in a motivational slump right now... weird time to have one since I'm in final stages of launching my first product... just can't seem to do anything productive today! issed:

Sometimes I read something inspiring and puts me back on track, but some days are just write offs... I like to think of it as my mind being overworked and needs healing time... similar to process of muscle building.

What do you guys do to get out of this slump?

8 hours of play / 8 hours of work / 8 hours of sleep.
If you can combine play and work, you are set.
Example: If you read something related to work in your play time, you are still being productive.

This is how I do it, and it does work for me.

What was your motivation to start the business?

Have you read Fast Lane Millionaire?

It sounds like you could be in the Desert-of-Desertion

Watch the video I think it could really help you.

How to Live Entrepreneurial Success: Beware of the Desert-of-Desertion

I realise I'm an ant among ants, I realise the time spent on this earth is a fraction of importance in the scheme of things, I realise I probably will never be remembered. I realise 99.999999999999999% of the people on this planet have never even heard my name before. I realise that I'm no better than any other. I realise there's a big chance I will end up like everyone else... And lastly, I realise that all the things mentioned are not what I want my life to be.

Sometimes a little hurt can go a long way.

PatrickP said:

Watch the video I think it could really help you.

How to Live Entrepreneurial Success: Beware of the Desert-of-Desertion

Thanks this perfect explained why I'm in this state of mind, definitely need to get out of this desert of desertion asap.

Sounds good man!

I am experiencing the same thing but thanks to a few people here on the forum, that video and coffee I am getting through it

PLEASE keep me/us up to date how it is going.

Will do!

Personally?

I also try to read an Emerson essay during my daily trip to the pooper.

I try to do something that puts me in the right direction.

This doesn't work, because procrastinating by doing something else is still procrastination.

If I wait too long it'll be too late one day.

And living in the future, pretending its May 1st 2013, and how upset I'll be with myself if I didn't work myself to be where I want to be by then.
