Holiday (n): a strategic pause in work used by employers to allow employees to recharge so they have fresh energy to be wrung from their bodies and minds. Especially effective because employee believes employer is acting in the best interest of the employee. In some cases, employer will even capitalize on these strategic pauses by selling holiday-themes mugs and clothing with company logo to the sorry saps.
