Hi Everyone,
I've just finished reading The Millionaire Fastlane and I'm planning on reading the other books soon. A little about myself below:
I'm in that exciting period after a Fastlane business takes off.. my business is 90% passive, but I'm still working non-stop to grow revenue and create new businesses because that's what I love to do.
I started off with a degree in Psychology in London, then a Masters degree in Organisational Psychology. I then went on to be a research scientist in London. I took a job at the UK head office for a popular fast food chain and luckily I moved up the ladder very quickly. I kept advancing my career until I had 9000 people within my remit at 28 years old for a FTSE 250 company in the UK. A month ago I decided to leave my corporate job behind, everybody thought I was crazy. My mum and my girlfriend tried to persuade me not to do it, I wish I had read the millionaire fast lane then! It would have really helped.
It's hard to leave the rat race behind, it's even harder when you are really excelling. Everyone thinks you're nuts, but if you want to be the 1%, you can't think like the 99%.
I started my business a year and a half ago, it kept growing until it was earning as much as my day job in profit. I finally took the leap a month ago and I haven't looked back. I took on an investor this month and the business is growing rapidly. It's such a strange feeling to have complete control over your time, I don't HAVE to do anything.. I could sleep all day and the business would keep earning but I'm young and I love to work. I'm launching the business in the USA and then worldwide this year, it's very exciting. I'm extremely lucky that investors are fighting to get involved with my projects.
Anyway enough about me, I thought I would talk a little about what I've been doing. I'm trying to enjoy every second because mentors have told me this growth phase is the most exhilarating. I've read 25 books already this year, i'm obsessed with self development and I can truly say The Millionaire Fast Lane is one of the most useful and interesting books I've read! A real winner.
