I recently completed a deep dive into The Millionaire Fastlane, reading it over a single week and capturing detailed notes in Notion. I found the book through a YouTube interview (with Ali Abdaal, if you’re familiar with him), where a guest shared his journey of quitting his job, launching a business, and scaling from $10k/month to $90k/month in under a year. A bit about me:
- I’m a finance and accounting professional in my early 40s.
- Husband to a high school teacher and father of two boys, aged 11 and 13.
- In March 2025, I left a 17-year corporate career where I was earning in the top 1%, driven by the desire for autonomy and meaning beyond the grind and politics.
- The transition has been a little rocky so far, mostly because I needed a mental reset. I was still stuck in the old paradigm.
