I just wanted to make a quick thread to introduce myself and also just say THANK YOU so much to Mr DeMarco.
I was looking at my amazon purchase history the other day and noticed that it had been one year since I bought The Fastlane Millionaire. I've been somewhat entrepreneurial in the past, but the concepts in the book just blew my mind. Reading the book made the concept of making money so crystal clear that I just knew exactly what I needed to do. I've read so many books on business, but The Fastlane Millionaire basically is everything I needed to really get started in my first serious venture.
I'm based in England and in the last year I've nurtured relationships with successful mentors in Silicon Valley and also several very successful business people in the UK. I've bootstrapped my MVP which is now up and running in two General Practice Surgeries (Family doctors clinics) in England. I would've had the launch earlier, but healthcare is always slow and working through all the processes takes time. The launch is going really well and hopefully I can continue to iterate, work hard and create something that's going to really improve healthcare in England.
Yes, as you can gather from what I've written above I am a doctor. I really enjoy being a doctor, however I've always been the type to keep pushing myself and starting a business really feels like the correct next step. I graduated in 2012 and I'm already bored! I'm in the final year of my postgrad when I'll be earning £200 an hour. I'm planning on working as little as possible and devote all my time to my startup at that point.
I feel so alive and The Fastlane Millionaire has also inspired my girlfriend whose setting up cancer screening services in Africa! We may not be millionaires yet, but we're loving life! Thank you Mr DeMarco!
