Hi all,
Ive been lurking for a few weeks when I first discovered this forum after reading MFL. The booked changed my outlook for the good! I am a Sound Designer/Sound Editor for feature films and television and I have nearly 20 years experience in my field as a freelancer. I thought I was the only one that wanted to be my own boss, make my own hours, and never have to answer to anyone for my work. Luckily I have found this forum and I am not alone! During my career I realized very early own I hated working in an office under the supervision of others. So I quickly began to branch out and create my own path to my own freedom. I have succeeded with that to some degree; I now work from my own home studio that I built several years ago and pretty much make my own hours and do what I want. However thats not enough. My income is still based off of the slow lane hourly rate with no more room for me to continue much higher in my current field. Ive been searching for many years for other means of income/welath and have attempted several businesses which have mostly failed. I have learned through all of those failures though. Anyway, enough rambling, I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully being of some service to someone.
