Howdy,
My backstory: I'm a formerly suicidal loser/addicted gambler (true story) who turned $0 into $70,000 and then blew it all and got into $10,000 of debt, which I've since paid off.
See here: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/ge...9-hustlers-guide-buying-selling-anything.html
My goal:
In short, I'm giving myself until January 1st, 2014 to be completely self employed. Not rich, not wealthy, nothing crazy, just enough where I won't need my job.
As it stands now, I go to work 5-6 days a week (but only work about 20-25 hours/week, and I go to school 2 days a week. My university tuition is paid in full (for my upcoming entire 4 year accounting/finance degree) and once that rolls around in about a year my work hours will be reduced drastically to the point where I want to be in complete control of my finances (and not need a job).
How am I risking everything? Well, come January 1st, 2014 I'm quitting my job whether I'm able to or not. If I have no money, I won't eat. That's a hell of a motivator to me.
It's now or never, all or nothing, everything is on the line.
Where I stand:
I have zero debt, and about $350 in my bank account. I only net about $1,000 a month ($11.50/hour) and that covers all my expenses so that's all I need to make by January 1st, 2014. Again, setting little goals, nothing spectacular. But if I don't make it, I'm quitting anyway so I'll be screwed.
I live with family so housing expenses are paid for. I pay transportation, food, clothing, etc.
Why am I telling y'all this? Well, no man is an island and there's something to learn from everyone. When you keep everything to yourself how can anyone help you?
I haven't the slightest idea what I'm gonna do to get there, but I'll do it. I don't have a choice haha.
Business Income (Net Profit Goal)
$1,000/month
Obviously this is a small amount and not my end goal. But like anything you start one step at a time. $100/month, then $500/month, then $5,000/month, then $50,000/month, etc. The sky's the limit.
But if I can't make $1,000/month why the hell would I delude myself into thinking I can make millions? Too many people set ridiculous goals with no follow through. Anyway, let's begin.
