The alert system has been updated so you can configure it to your needs.

I haven't dug deep into it yet so I can't give you clear instructions.

But you should be able to tailor your alerts to your specs.

Summarizing / Grouping notifications :praise:

I haven't quite figured out all the settings...
Well, I believe that it's already working

If it does what it says on the tin, reactions for a single post should be grouped:

Just one "10 people reacted to your post" - instead of getting 10 notifications for every single reaction.

Screenshot? Sounds like you have more notices/reactions than me, lol.

That's what happens when I drink 5 coffees and then start posting on the forum.

I believe the record was in the '70s, but that's when I took a few weeks off the forum and they piled up.

Under "Your Content" in the sub navigation, you can now see all the posts from all your followed users. In your news feed, this was lumped in with all posts, so it was more difficult to decipher posts from those you followed with regular posts.

Also, the forum will be down for a few hours next Saturday as the website and design is upgraded. Hopefully it goes smooth without any hiccups.

Crossing fingers, I know what it's like if things don't go well. Haha.

The user power graphic does not play nice with the dark theme:

Jesus Christ, what part of "Forum Upgrades Ongoing: Please pardon the dust. On Saturday afternoon 3 PM (MST) 6PM (EST) the forum will be undergoing style modifications and may not appear as normal. Please be patient as modifications are performed..." IS NOT CLEAR?

Oh look, I'm missing a few badges underneath my profile. Looks above, ah okay! No worries. *Insert Joke*

It was just a heads up. Meant to help, not invoke the spirit of Jesus nor prompt a choleric response.

Known Bug: New Insider Posts are not showing up in the summary update panel. Right now this is my priority.

Secondary Priority: Getting the Native Style (what you're viewing right now) kosher and an available style option for those who want to keep it, and not use the new style (which is still a day or two away.)

I have to call it a night, been at it so long I can't think straight.

I'm at about 25% progress and there are a ton of bugs in all of the 3rd-party add ons. Looks like I have a long day tomorrow.

Hi MJ, thanks for all the work you keep putting in to make this place something we can all call a "digital home" where we are welcome.

Would you like to get notified about little bugs we may encounter? So we can contribute in fine tuning.
I first ask, because I don't want to spam with unnecessary/unwanted feedback.

All the best

@MJ DeMarco thank you for your dedication to keeping this forum awesome and ever improving.

I'd suggest - take your time.
Not in a sense of dragging things out, just in a sense of knowing when to call it a day.
And not taking away from your sleep.

I still have to remind myself of this every now and then.
When I just can't fix some bug, even though I tried seemingly every angle.

Or when a new bug appears which makes no sense at all.

And then when I'm finally exhausted enough to have to go to sleep...
And then wake up...it's so much easier, I find solutions quickly, and that ridiculous bug that appeared out of nowhere turns out to be a typo.

Because working on code tired is a great way to introduce new bugs.

And if you're ever stuck with anything, you're more than welcome to ping me.
I don't know the platform, but do know PHP (that's what's it written in, right?), JS, API integrations and just programming as such, so for that's worth, I'm there.

I also like the new look. It reminds me of the older/original version of the forum.
Good job MJ!

Thanks for the update, it's really cool! ;)
