I'm finally better after having an extremely bad headcold/soar throat/no voice virus for the past 4 days. Just drink plenty of fluids, stay warm, eat a a lot of Craisins when feeling weak and rest whenever possible. I hope everyone gets better and stays healthy.

Sorry to hear everyone is sick. My son stayed home from school cause his cough sounded like a fog horn and my daughter in pre-k was vomiting.. yuck. They seem to be fine now but sick with different things. My wife complained her neck hurt on her way off to work this morning. I think we all have the case of the blues...

The other night I had a nightmare. Haven't had one of those in a long long time. I seriously woke up and my heart was pounding against my rib cage. So strange...

I may actually just take some NyQuil tonight for the "so you can rest" part of the medication.

so, little one got sick today, went to the doctor, they tested her and came back as positive for H1N1. Doctor ordered Tamiflu and she got started on that tonight.

Seems we all got it but the adults have not been as affected as the little ones, at least that was the doctor's interpretation (the rest of us did not get tested).

The doctor's office was packed. The two pediatricians were going crazy with that many cases, most of them were positive for H1N1. The doctor was very careful breaking the news, as they had a case an hour earlier were a mom fainted as soon as she heard her son got it. See? that's the panic created by the media working for you right there...

Thanks all for the good wishes.

Hope your family feels beter soon. Just found out my brother inlaw has H1N1 and has been out for about a week with it. They just started releasing the vaccine here but since I am not in the high risk group I will need to wait till the middle of next month . still not sure if I want to get it.
Andiv now that you've seen the effects would you get the vaccine?

This is happening all around us in the Midwest. Are you folks down south experiencing this?

In any case, been chugging Zinc 50-75mg daily Vit C 3-4 Grams and Multi like it is going out of business.

We have some of it down here. The emergency rooms are getting overloaded. The city officials are trying to get people to go to clinics so that the ER's have room for trauma patients. Lot's of media hype. A real big deal is being made about the lack of H1N1 vaccine in our area. Knock on wood, my family hasn't been affected.

OK, so spent the night taking care of the little one. Constant fever and tylenol every 4 hours to keep it under control.

But,all in all, not different at all than any other flu I can remember.
