First Post On the Forum to introduce myself ill try and keep it short,
My Timeline So Far:
Ages 0-17 Wanted to ignorantly go through the system and do what my father has done. Go to college, get a mechanical engineering degree and just survive.
At 17, in the summer transitioning into senior year I read Rich Dad Poor Dad(I know there is so much controversy over this book) but it was enough to flip my outlook on life and that's all I needed.
Beginning of Senior year I wrote a note to create a business by the end of the year and really magically me and my friend had started a t-shirt business 3 months before the end of our senior year. So I went out to our closest screen printing shop and bought 100 shirts for $6 a piece (we of course split the price) and sold for $15 a piece. We ended up selling 60ish shirts in less then a two month span. but ran out of steam. It wasn't what we wanted to do.
When I turned 18(middle of senior year) I also got into stock trading(common stocks, tried penny but never got the hand of that, and ultimately settled into SPY option trading). Doubled what I started with($1500) the first year and then returned to $1500 this past year when the S&P dropped 300pts in about 3 days. Rookie getting emotional in trading.
But now at 19 turning 20 this year(Man I wanted to be a millionaire as a teenager, I still have a couple months) I am now a little better educated and feel now I have more of an entrepreneurial spirit.
The two of my biggest influences right now are Andy Frisella & Gary Vaynerchuck.
I feel as if they have really guided me from wanting to make money, to really developing skills that I can use to help and make an impact.
So thats where I am today.
19 and feel like I am now on the right track to do something great. I realize that people are really jumping into Entrepreneurship because its hot and people want to become rich. But I honestly feel like I'm getting into this with a different perspective.
What I'm up to right now:
In development of an iOS Application(me learning how to code)
Recently started a blog
I've always liked technology but have not had the drive like I do now to code.
With the blog I just really want to document my life and the journey I am as a driven individual. Would I like to make it an income stream? Of Course! but only through implementing ways that add to people's experience.
Im happy to be part of the team!
