Hello everyone,
This is my execution diary, mainly for accountability. I’m a bit intimidated to post this because there are so many high-level execution threads here.
As the title suggests, I’m currently too dispersed and need to focus. I’m aware that what I’m doing isn’t Fastlane-worthy yet, but the plan is to gradually move in that direction.
January recap
I’m starting from zero income, as all my activities had been on pause.
Most important insight this month:
Thanks to several helpful threads and contributors here, I was finally able to clearly articulate my purpose:
"I create things that make people smile: either because they’re cute, entertaining or helpful."
Painting (my main activity)
Positives
Still undecided about republishing:
Wishing everyone a productive and successful February!
P.S. + Disclaimer: thanks to ChatGPT for helping me improve and tighten up the wording.

Painting (my main activity)
Positives
- Restarted posting on Instagram after a year. Audience is coming back
- One post reached 5,8K likes and about 70 comments; gained 700+ followers
- Got leads for custom paintings and prints
- Answered a call for artists. Upcoming appointment to present my work (nervous about rejection or being belittled)
- A higher-ticket project idea takes far more time to execute than anticipated
- Tried to revive an older drawing project. Didn't sale anything but I launched my first Pinterest ad campaign and learned to set up a Gumroad page.
- Republished 2 out of my 5 main ebooks on Amazon KDP.
Still undecided about republishing:
- a polarizing horror short-story collection
- an embarrassing erotic short story
- Read The Great Rat Escape: a lot of value. Bought the physical edition to reread (and ordered Unscripted at the same time to read later)
- Took the DEFCON test: scored 76. Target is 80–84 by year-end (need to revive those dead dreams and make my 10-year-old self proud!)
- Exercised a bit and improved my diet: I forgot how great I feel when eating plant-based
- Working on improving my English and restarting Japanese studies
- AI-assisted app building
- Brainstorming a CENTS-aligned business
- Starting working on new ebooks
- Pottery class
- Reading Unscripted...
- Select paintings and prepare for the artist interview
- Publish at least 6 Instagram posts
- Set up a shop for prints and contact prospects
- Release second edition of at least 1 ebook
- Eat mostly plant-based
- Increase exercise frequency
- Reduce time spent brainstorming with AI
- Continue improving English and Japanese
Wishing everyone a productive and successful February!
