Hey guys, I'm pleading for a little help here for what type of website / CMS to use on a project I'm looking at - lead generation for contractors (in the construction field).
Lead generation seems to be a pretty saturated market with some major competition, but I feel like after reading through a bunch of consumer and contractor complaints regarding what company X,Y,and Z are doing wrong in the business, that I can create a similar model, but do a better job of customer service and provide a better value for both the consumer and for the contractor.
So, like I mentioned, the first thing I need help with is recommendations for the type of CMS to use for the website. (Keep in mind that I pretty much know nothing in this area so I'm probably going to ask some stupid questions.
) I did some research on different types of CMS (Joomla, Java, PHP), but I’m still completely lost regarding what each one can and cannot do and which would best serve my needs, so that’s why I’m asking for help in this area.
This is what I need the website to do / how I think I want it to function:
* Customer comes to the website / landing page to get estimates on a home renovation project - I need them to fill out a multi-page form that tells me where they're located (by zip code), what type of project they need completed, and their contact info.
* The data the customer enters then needs to be delivered via email or collected through some type of database that pulls the info from the website.
* I need an auto responder email sent to the customer's email address for verification, and for the customer to click a link in the email to confirm the project. (If the customer fails to click the link in the email, we will follow up with a phone call for confirmation.)
* After confirmation, the customer's data then needs to be forwarded on to the contractors that have signed up for our program.
* I also need a secure login section of the website for contractors - in this section they will enter what type of projects they are willing to do, what their monthly budget is (how many leads they want / month), their contact info, payment method.
* In regard to the payment method for the contractors - within their account I need a secure way for them to be able to enter their credit card info / preferred billing method. And they will be billed per each lead they receive (I guess I need a way to track this as well - and to keep it under their monthly budget).
* I will also need a back end to the system - a way of following up with the customer (by email) after they have been contacted by the contractors or after their project has been completed in order to get feedback on how the contractor performed and to send an email drip-campaign reminding the customer to use our service for future home renovation projects.
That's about all I can think of at the moment, I'm sure there is going to be more. But I want the website to automate as much of this process as possible, so that I can eventually hire people to run the system, and I can focus on marketing / growing the business.
So, with those details can someone suggest what type of CMS would be ideal to handle this?
Thank you!
