I watched Mike P.'s review of Andrew Hansen's Firepow:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6HigtMAMl8"]YouTube - Firepow - The future of niche blogging[/ame]

Then I searched for the term on Dogpile and Google.
The keyword "Firepow" is quite well represented
(yeah, I know, it's a unique word, but still..).

The product is supposed to be an all-in-one
solution, that comes with a choice of two monthly
payment tiers.

It is to be used in niche marketing.

What do you e-biz folks think? Worth it? Not
worth it? I think the 2 price points are $127/mo
or $97/mo. The sales page is getfirepow dot com
(please delete this, mods, if it should not be
here).

Thanks.

I'm too lazy to watch the video, but it's hard to imagine what they could provide (unless the software includes a real live blogger to write stories) for that amount, that could possibly compete with WordPress, which is free.

I hate to give advice, without watching the video...but I am going to.

Blogging is not hard and paying anywhere close to 100 dollars is not worth it...unless they have some KILLER options.

Why are you looking at this as opposed to something like wordpress?

Sounds like a black hat SEO driven blog system. Automatically load content on your site, submitting your blog post to social bookmarking services.

All I can see is $ sign. People trying to abuse the blog into money making machine and link building. The only one truly making money are the one creating the system and Google.

It's just another affiliate marketing system.

I agree with Jonlee

Wordpress is by far the best platform for blogging and some experts say it's the best
for any type of site building for online marketers - even as far as CMS goes

Apparently it has a lot of capabilities that I haven't even dove into yet

getting ready to build my first wordpress static site so i'll keep you in the loop

I watched part of the video so may be slightly off here, but some of its features included autobookmarking over 400 social network sites, auto adding to many feeds and automatically finding relevant content to put on your blog.

Thanks so much for your comments!
I will summarize the benefits per the sales page.

My understanding is that it is Wordpress-based,
and that it integrates many task options into
the product. See what you think.

-Blog set-up

-Blog manager

-Plugins, including custom

-WP theme generator

-Search article directories by keyword

-RSS datafeed by KW

-Submission to RSS directories

-Submission to social networking
directories

-Searches Yahoo Answers for relevant
questions, to which you can respond
(w. new info or one of your old blog
posts)

-Searches images, and post to blog w. KWs
-H1, H2 tag optimizer

-Eye-catching rolling sidebar

-"Mail this" icon

-Greet visitors by country (using IP address)

-Add news feed w. or w/o pictures

-Split-testing tool

-Related videos under your post

-Internal links plug-in

-Users can add content after Admin review
(not just comments)

-Video inserter

-Exit pop-up that shows "related posts"

-Youtube insertion tool

-Searches Technorati for blog posts so
you can comment

Something that might help make the tech
stuff easier would be personally useful
to me. That's what interests me about this
product.

I like the idea of this. You say it's WP-based? That's a strong plus in my book. I'm a big fan of WordPress. We've used other blog platforms, including some rather expensive, custom-built ones. We migrated to WP and get the same results without the expense. From what I've seen, there is not a superior platform. We use kineticblogs.com. I've been very impressed with them. You can of course manage your own site, but the maintenance, updating, etc can be a little more technical and time consuming than you may think. I find it simple, but it's strictly a time issue with me. We pay them $50 a month, and they host and maintain the site for us. They also offer a lot of services very helpful to those of us in real estate.

I will check this piece out. Thanks for the post :)

I am a huge fan of WordPress. Particularly with the new version (2.5) - a super product with incredible community support.

Here are my thoughts...This looks like a WordPress blog all packaged up with some plugins already in place. I bet you could build the same functionality yourself. Of course I suppose that's always the case.
