I had a funny thought while reading this story:

Bloomberg television ran a brief segment in which they posited that Best Buy (BBY) has effectively become Amazon’s (AMZN) biatch. And I think there’s some truth to that.

I make a lot of my income from being an Amazon affiliate.

So if I was Best Buy, why not embrace the fact in the story. Setup computer terminals all over the store with affiliate links to the products on Amazon.

Amazon pays out 8.5% commission to affiliates. Then BBY could sell extended warranty and returns service which is a high margin sale, and focus on other products that aren't available easily on Amazon.
