I have not posted in a month or so as I have been super busy with the shop buildout and getting all setup.
As I posted previously, I am greatly expanding my vintage auto repair and restoration business.
It has been a super busy last couple months with getting setup and equipment in place. We still have 2 lifts to install and other equipment on the way.
We were able open for business this last month and have some a couple complete restorations already booked and in process.
Our 2 employees (besides myself and wife) have been getting into the groove and are working great. I had another professional bodyman and painter ask about working for us as soon as we need.
We are very unique as very few shops in this area do what we do and pretty much none have the tooling or knowledge we have.
Other shops in the area are saying they cannot find help and we have top talent actually asking to work for us! I set this shop up a little different offering 4 day work weeks and excellent pay.
Our target market is wealthy or at least higher end car people that can afford to pay for the quality we are offering. Most shops in this industry target the average car hobby guy working a job. These shops charge about half of what we do but are running with no insurance, no taxes being paid and certainly no workers comp. these lower end shops attract the lower end clientele that have issues paying and constant drama.
I learned a long time ago that you need these higher end customers or you will go broke.
I have attached a couple pictures of the shop (not completely setup but getting there) and some cars we have in process.
