Hey all!
So because of my last failed venture, I've got about a 530 credit score at the moment. For a long time, I haven't really cared, but recently I've been reading up a lot around the forum about how beneficial having good credit can be for capitalizing on opportunities for making cash. Plus, I'm being prepared for future real estate investing by my mentor, so I'll need to have good credit to be able to pull mortgages.
I started reading up on fast ways to repair bad credit, and I found that you can have someone make you an authorized user on their credit card and your credit score will piggyback off of theirs - I'm reading stories about people with spouses who had bad credit that went up by 25 points in a single month.
My mentor has offered to put me on his card as a registered user to help out with my issue, and I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this before and what your results were? I've googled the topic quite a bit and can't really find anything that runs contrary to the stories I've heard - so far all signs point to it being an amazing way to build up bad credit.
So, yeah. Has anyone tried this method out or know anyone that has?
