Adventure/Mudrun/Endurance Races?

Hey all,

Been trying to organize a unique adventure/mudrun race in my hometown for next month, having a difficult issue today and was wondering if anybody on here has experience running one or organizing one. This isn't my end all-be-all plan for world domination, but I recently was laid off and it seems like a more interesting idea than getting another job that I'll dislike. The business premise is quite nice, once you set up your website and do some local/facebook advertising, the incoming registration money basically foots the bill for the rental and setup costs. Any input welcome, and feel free to ask questions!
