Hello everyone, i'm glad to be here. I just joined the forums after reading the millionaire fastlane in uhh.. like 2 days, yeah.. it was absolutely fascinating, i devoured 70% of the pages in under 3 hours (warning, not actually ate it, just read it).
A little about me : 18, still in high school (senior), living in a third world country, never made a single dollar in my life or worked an hour. I come from a pretty well off family, not super rich, but i always had what i wanted. After reading the book, i saw that everything is as the book says. I'm not going to settle for mediocrity. I never knew what i wanted to do in life, i was thinking psychology.. but it turns out, this makes a pull on me aswell. After all, if nothing really attracts me, at least money does. 😀 I was waiting for something to captivate me, since i never was motivated to do anything, and i so wanted something to which i can devote myself fully.
The one thing i learned from the book, which i believe is something that will take me far, is to chase need, not money.
At this moment, 3 (maybe 4, not sure) days into my wantereunship, i made an account on Upwork, and i've started learning Copywriting.. i made 3 proposals yesterday, one today.. 1 of them got denied since the client found someone who can better fulfill his need. Other than that, i've read around 200 pages on the forum here, and i'm going to follow, i believe it's IceCream's, post about how to start from scratch. I'll start contacting and interviewing 100 people as soon as i learn a little more of copywriting and find a niche to satisfy.
I wish i had a mentor, so that i don't make as many stupid mistakes on my way up. I wouldn't mind giving up half of whatever profit i made with the mentor's help, just for the experience and knowledge.. It doesn't really matter if i do get one though, since this forum is pretty much like one big mentor, and time and failures will be my mentors aswell.
I have limiting thoughts like "oh god, i don't know how to do that, i don't know where to go to do that, why would anyone listen to me, what if my product fails and i owe 60k to those people who i pre-sold the product to? I'm glad i know this is all bullshit and i just need to get over the fear and start grinding.
Now, the one thing i need to do is beat up the fear more so i can start interviewing those 100 people , and learn even more copywriting 😀
