Not sure if anyone on this forum other than me is impacted by this.
In the past, my business (and a lot of other people's businesses as well) was built on live seminars. Post 9-11, the numbers of attendees dropped significantly. We're starting to see a drop again with concerns about travel and communicable diseases.
I'm not saying live seminars and travel are a thing of the past...but I think they may be decreasing in effectiveness.
The webinars that I've seen are effective for giving information, but not for conveying the networking possibilities. So, this morning, I was thinking what the ideal seminar experience would be. First choice would be some kind of virtual reality, which is probably a little far out for right now (but who knows).
But maybe something simpler... What if there was a way to show a room design? You wait at the "door" and then select your seat at a pre-arranged time. You can introduce your self to your neighbors, form private discussion groups to work on projects or discuss a question that the presenter asked. It would all be virtual, of course. if there was a software or better yet, a service, that could do that, I'd subscribe in a heartbeat. I tend to be an early innovator, though. So, I'm not sure what the market is right now, but I think it's coming.
So....anyone know anything like this? Suggestions?
