An online platform where you can give your anonymous positive/constructive advice/review/feedback to an individual or a business without them knowing your real credentials? The feedback could only be viewed privately by the person/business in his personal/business registered account. Nothing would ever go public. (It's like a personal self-development account).

Is this a super bizarre idea or can it be exaggerated?
Would you get very offended if someone left you some constructive advice?
Would it really hurt your ego and make you mad?

Sounds interesting from a self-development point of view. How will you market it? And what is the business model to make money?

What are you asking for feedback on? Can you provide a bit more context?

Sounds like an interesting idea. Would it be an online forum? Who is the target audience?

This. If you provide more context, we can provide better answers.

Sounds interesting. How would you connect the two people that know each other? And it would seem like this would rely solely on being able to have people that know each other use the service together. How would you market it? How would you monetize it?

Cyber bullying is a concern.

Someone could top themselves from negative feedback - not everyone is capable of handling critasism and many won't want to give it in a constructive way.

Hot topic at the moment too.

Being devil's advocate.

Users and businesses will have to register. Then there would be a search to look for people. The anonymous person will need an account that would shoot out an email to the other. It's not important that people need to know each other (eg. celebrities). The main focus would be to serve the common man and business.

The feedback would be moderated like Quora to ensure that there is nothing derogatory. There would be some parameters laid on what sort of feedback you can provide when a user registers an anonymous account.

An open source platform. Target audience is everyone out there.

Everyone in this thread is giving you feedback and you don't know who we are or our credentials.

Review sites like Trust Pilot are full of anonymous reviews about businesses.

So I do not see any purpose in what you propose or am I missing something?

If I want to give anonymous positive/constructive advice/review/feedback to an individual or a business without them knowing my real credentials, couldn't I just use the contact form on the business's website and give a fake email address and name etc.

If it's to an individual, I can just find out their FB / gmail, and register a throwaway email / FB account and contact them to air my thoughts.
On the other hand, there's something like https://www.sarahah.com which kinda does what you're talking about.

Google "anonymous platform" to start. It's 2019 ideas like these were thought about many years ago.

At least in the U.S., one real need is interview feedback for job applicants. The companies are afraid to give any information because of the possibility of getting sued, let alone wasting time on someone not interested in growth. A candidate can be interviewing, and every company will see the same blunder, and yet they won't give away this precious bit of knowledge, resulting in enormous wasted time on the part of the individual and future companies. Even if you are working with a recruiter and the recruiter has a very good relationship with the company, at best they can give you a fuzzy one-liner.

If this problem was somehow solved and there was 100% bullet-proof liability protection, that would be great:
* the person would enter into a legal contract not to sue no matter what.
* in exchange, the company would provide feedback.
There is extra benefit for the company as they get protection from getting sued, and the written feedback often exists anyway, it just has to be edited to be anonymized. This can be integrated into any recruiting platform or into just about anything. The company can pay, the individual can pay, the recruiting agency can pay, it can be paid by the enveloping platform (e.g. if LinkedIn did it for paid subscribers), or it can be free and monetized by building a competitor to LinkedIn.

I think that's a good idea. Intercom kind of did this, but their focus is on live two-way communication. You could call it AnonView. Have companies pay to host their profile, then pay a percentage of that to users as incentive to leave reviews (very unlikely someone will bother without an incentive. Pocket the rest. Or have the company offer rewards to your users for leaving reviews through your app.
