Hey, came across this article earlier in the week and just now had a chance to read it. It was rather interesting. Certainly changed my perspective a bit.

Yeah, I make it a point of not programming more than 4 hours a day. Overnighters are a killer long-term, but sometimes when speed of entry is essential you need to do them.

I've noticed, among those of us that are idea people and not coders, that there is a tendency to think we need a rock star coder. At this point though, there isn't much that hasn't been done in some form or another, so a lot of it tends to be more or less, within the abilities of most coders.

I tend to put in as many hours as needed to get it done. Whether it' 2 hours or 16 hours.

Good article. Definitely corresponds with my experience working in software and why I'd found certain situations super uncomfortable.
