Hello! Last June I sat in a boardroom with 30 of my company "peers". All were at least 10 years older than me, none with young children and few seemed to have the type of balance in life that I strive to achieve. This was my FTE. Although I had gotten off on being a bad-a$$ throughout my career, I no longer wanted that boardroom or the lifestyle of those people. I no longer fit the mold and I didn't want to. I wanted to be near my family, not across the country. I wanted to be kicking a$$, not ranting about departmental hurdles. Now I'm in the process of creating my own boardroom. Mindset and dealing with rejection have been the hardest hurdles so far, but with persistence, I know my skin is getting thicker. Excited to be here!
