I am genuinely happy for @MJ DeMarco and the forum.

Last year when MJ created the thread for 2019 Summit, the engagement was very low.

This year, the enthusiasm shown on this thread is just amazing.

Also, what happened to @jon.a ? Miss his one liners!

And, unless I missed something, where is @B. Cole ? Product creation, struggles, invention to market?

I talked to my wife tonight and she's all good with me going. We have a second child coming any day now so we're looking at probably 5 months and should have a good routine going. The more I think about it, even though I don't have a business, I can't pass up this opportunity.

So, count me in under the idea that everything falls into place and I'm able to get a ticket!

Haha I’d love to speak, but would be premature for this one. I’d hardly feel qualified to send a bunch of folks out on the path of development that I took, but am happy to share my unqualified advice otherwise. Still way too much a student, don’t want to guru it up.

Every red cent and second of time goes toward getting this thing optimized and profitable by spring, so unfortunately, but hopefully - this will be the last Summit that I miss.

Oh no, I smell Vigilante lurking... ^^

Ok, but was rooting for your appearance even if it was in the halls during break or at the bar. Keep us posted.

I'll likely attend as I'll already be in the states for another conference in Texas.

Not super interested in speaking this time around.

Thank you and to the others who have submitted privately by email.

You guys are gonna make this terribly hard to make decisions.

I'll definitely consider it pending cost implications (might need more rooms?) and volunteers.

I've never participated in a "Break-Out" so so each break-out would have to have a leader that knows what they're doing.
You can do table-to-table break-out sessions in the large foyer in the hall in front of the meeting rooms at no extra charge. Just sequester the area from onlookers with the welcome signage and other postings. This is a great place to sell books and merch as well.
With 200 participants, having 20 volunteers who can be "available" for 2-3 hours in shorter blocks of time throughout the event is ample support.
Twenty volunteers giving two to four hours pre-event is ample manpower for coordination and execution.

I relate to there being three categories of activity in which a person can block in the time to produce value in their life:
1. Work
2. Relationships
3. Self and self-development.
The volunteer involvement belongs to 2. and 3.

My go to casino game. Is 30 your lucky number? Also I am at the section of Unscripted where @MJ DeMarco does hip hop dancing. Any way we will see this during the weekend?

To you newbs (not aimed at any one poster in particular) if you plan to attend this, increase your forum presence and your participating and your sharing 1,000% between now and then so people can be interested in you.

There was one guy one year that came, nobody knew who he was, he didn't speak, he literally went off somewhere on breaks (which is really where the magic happens) and we still don't know exactly what his story was.

Don't be that guy.

If you want a shot at tickets, first you have to be an INSIDERS. INSIDERS go first, and the event has a likeleyhood of selling out on the inside.

Second, don't be that guy.

It's one thing to creep on a forum. It's a whole new thing to be able to meet some of these people in person.

It's a third thing to be able to add them to your contacts list AFTER the event.

And if you don't make at least one life long friend in Phoenix that weekend, you've done it wrong.

Hey Vigilante,

Thanks again for this awesome post/ advice. I'll take it at heart! I can't promise 1000% but I'm going to be way more active here.

I'm Italian and it's really difficult for me to cross the world to be present at the event

I am a German student who earns probably way less than you. Still I will safe up enough money until February and attend. It's only about how much you want it.

@SIDI look at your posts above. it is the negative and downtrodden state of mind that is weak.

life happens. maybe you cannot go. cool.

the negative mindset is your enemy.

reframe your earlier post by ending with the three things you are doing to make it happen!
give yourself some credit and build yourself up. then get some shit done!
Fair. Thanks

If you still need speakers I'm willing to speak on health, specifically:

How To Maintain Physical Health and Longevity While You're Busy Grinding

Topics covered:

Dealing with back pain from sitting
How to strengthen postural muscles that we're all weak on
Recovering from (and preventing) RSIs and tendon injuries
Simple daily tools, techniques, stretches, and habits to improve longevity

I've suffered, and have assisted others in recovery from the above when I used to train clients. I've also learned a ton from PESTERING my physiotherapists...

If this isn't relevant @MJ DeMarco I completely understand.

Thank you

Definitely interested in attending. Unfortunately I haven't posted lately because I have taken action on another project and am running full steam ahead.
But very excited to meet like minded people who know the grind of being an entrepreneur.
Can't wait!

Observation:

I went through this thread and counted up the people who said they were coming.

Then I built a spreadsheet and compared the list against the list of people who said they had tickets.

(Note: I don't have the full list of who bought tickets, just the ones who said that they bought tickets. On my spreadsheet I have a list of 77 usernames of people who got tickets, and some of them got 2 tickets. So there can't be very many tickets left.)

Couple numbers...

121 people on this thread said they were coming.

Out of these 121 people, 65 have not yet gotten a ticket (or at least, they haven't announced it). (Hey, it's better than 80-20, so that's saying something!)

Of those 65 people, 13 of them also offered to speak but haven't gotten a ticket.

OK you folks! Snap up those tickets, before there aren't any left!!

On your mark, get set, go!

Nice work on that! I have a ticket for myself and my wife!

Actually it's not unusual for half of the folks who say they're going, to not go.

What's surprising though is many of the speakers who offered to speak have not followed-thru, not sure why one would offer to speak and then decide not to go if not selected. We had 40+ speaker volunteers and only 15 slots available. (And I still have 2 left to send out and a few confirms still pending.)
That's surprising @MJ DeMarco , but probably people just need more time to evaluate and plan.
So guys and ladies, here's an idea.
I've run writing groups and coordinated group run formats. I'm going to open an online writing group for any of us on the forum who need to produce work with comfort and fluency. We'll support one another. and exchange good skills.
The limit should be twenty. We can have a gotowebinar or some other resource as often as needed. That and other decisions will be left to the group.
Maybe we'd prefer to have a closed writng group for Summit speakers. Up to you.
I'm kinda all set up and ready to go with this, so we could start any time.
Anyone need a thirty-to-forty minute talk finalized and ready to deliver in 100 days?
PFFFT.
No problema.

If this support for you Summit 2020 speakers will specifically help you get your talk together - and it will work, that's a promise - then take the journey you bravely imagined doing when you sent in your proposal.

OK? Everyone wants to hear what you can bring.

You'll learn a lot about yourself along the way.

Just say YES.

DO IT.

Better late than never, I reaffirm that I am willing to speak if there's any interest in this topic.

Proposal:
New developments in technology for improving your business or starting a new one.

This is a bit vague so ideally members might submit some suggestions or questions.
I haven't sold a tech company for $1B yet but I can help you separate hype Vs. reality as it pertains to AI, Chat Bots, IOT, robots, self-driving cars, etc.

Ok, so on the one hand, I'm oddly confident that I *can* pull this together on my own, because as soon as I submitted my proposal, my brain got to work retelling myself my story that evening as I went about my business, cooking dinner, brushing my teeth, etc. & working out what lessons could be drawn out where, side notes that could also inspire, what could be helpful to put on slides (we can use slides, right?!), how to make it fun, etc. I feel like I wrote the dang thing before I even knew if I'd get asked to speak, because I was too excited & I couldn't stop myself.

However, just because I *could* do it on my own, doesn't mean I should turn down the opportunity to get help to make it even better. This should be the best darn talk it could be for benefit of everyone involved.
If it'll help, it'll help!
So yeah, I'm in.

Anyone know the technical details yet?
Like mics? Hand helds? Lavs?
Powerpoint? Keynote? Google Slides?
Bring your own laptop? With a particular connection? Or on a usb stick? Or online?
Will there be a clicker? Should I bring my own clicker? I kinda don't want to be tied to my laptop.
When will we know our time limit? How strict are the time limits? Will there be a timer visible? Counting up or counting down?
When will this steam of consciousness ever end?

I may just be a wincy bit excited.
I had far, far fewer questions up until reading this, thanks. It's going to help a lot to work with a small, specific audience long before our talks. That's a popular practice to eliminate the necessity of pulling teeth.
I write narrative first and then extract the gold nuggets onto index cards along with PP. Then I experiment with order and time frames. The talk is on the cards, however I print the entire paper in 14 pt font and have that in a binder open on the lecturn for a security blanker. Old school. No bells, whistles, time-lapse data, and gifs.
Humor is a necessary ingredient. Audience interaction can be built in somewhere. Then Q & A becomes optional.
I might use sound samples, though. It's hard to know which technology will be best.
How do you wish to create a closed group? Any preferred technology or group media?

Organizing a trek to Superstition again the Thursday before the Summit.
Maybe we can follow the correct path this time @Water @jimmeboy @UnrealCreative???
So glad to see this.
I was going to mention going into the mountains but thought you'd all be "Who's got time to run around in the mountains?"
Then again I wouldn't be surprised if the intention is to gold pan.

Hey MJ and crew!

I work as the Relations Director at Clickfunnels. We're a fast growing SaaS platform and I would LOVE to speak at Fastlane Summit about how we grew from $0 to $150 million in 5 years!

MFL truly changed my life when I picked it up a few years ago

Reminder that tickets are NOT transferable or refundable.

If you suddenly cannot go, please message the forum and I will try to put you in contact with someone on the waitlist who can buy your ticket. Or, if you find someone for the ticket in your own circle, it can be pre-arranged and needs pre-approval.

Please note that there will NOT be a ticket swap thread. It an administrative nightmare for me to swap tickets and to manage that process.

However, I will periodically bump the event thread to serve notice that some tickets might be made available.

IF YOU NEED A TICKET FOR THIS EVENT (IT SOLD OUT IN OCTOBER) PLEASE CONTACT THE FORUM AS SOME INDIVIDUALS MIGHT BE ABLE TO SELL THEIR TICKET.
