Do to the type of products we sell (items for children) we decided that it would be a good idea to carry product liability insurance. We are now coming up on our third renewal. Every year that you renew you have to indicate what your previous year sales were and give a sales projection for the upcoming year. Fortunately our sales have been increasing each year.
For starters, these policies are not cheap. The first year premiums were not too bad. After our first renewal the premium went up some which was expected. This year we went to renew and the premium has more than doubled! We have projected higher sales which we expect, but it's not like it went crazy.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else is carrying this insurance and who you would recommend. Would like to shop it around a bit. Our current policy is with York-Jersey.
