Here's a thread for all my fellow boring weird people who like to walk.

Each year, I turn myself more and more to walking as my foundational activity to stay active.

Sure, I still strength train 4x a week and do a variety of other activities. But walking is awesome because I can easily do up to 10-15 km a day, recharge mentally while doing it, and feel completely fine the next day. And unlike many other activities, walking isn't really a goal-driven activity so it doesn't put on you any performance stress.

Walking is also my default activity when meeting with friends. It stimulates much better conversations than being stationary.

I usually go on walks in the forest since I live near one but any natural area is fine for me (city walking is fine for exercise but it doesn't recharge me mentally as much).
