Stop trying to convince people what your trying to accomplish in life, take your goal, ideal, or whatever it may be and treat it like a new born child.
I realized for myself sometimes trying to convince people of how good my idea is, and not getting the the response I'm looking for, and not in the sense of someone telling me its a bad idea, and explaining why, because those are good opinions to look at, because you can find flaws in your idea and fix them to be less wrong. But I'm talking about of someone just saying blandly "Oh yeah, cool dude." Somewhere on those lines, and even though its no hard feelings, because people will never care as much as you do about your own idea, it can become energy wasting and time wasting trying to convince people.
So how I decided to deal with this is simply stop trying to CONVINCE and just take your new born "child" (Your idea or plan) and nurture it, feed it the knowledge, and work with it everyday, making sure it's growing up nice and strong, always making sure your keeping the child (your idea or plan) out of trouble and guiding it on the right path and dealing with the problems on the way. Your child (Idea or plan) will have great days and it will have bad days, but your there to make sure it gets past those days. But once your Child (Idea or plan) Is ready to go out on there own, then they will tell there own story and you wont have to convince anyone of your Childs (Plan or idea) success, because it will just show and everyone will see on there own.

Why should you convince other peoples (unless the are clients) about what you want to do with your life?
If your idea is good, it will speak for his-self.

Often other people will put your ideas and/or goals down. Or even try to sabotage them. I have found to just go right ahead what you believe and want to do. When I did I found my own way in a big way. People who made it clear I was "nothing" instantly became friendly to me. I just said "Thank you" but I should have said "F... You". Next time I just might.

Convincing is bullshit, you never need to convince. When I see myself even starting to convince someone, I drop it and move on, tell them I gotta go or something, most of the times, convincing is a waste of time and energy.

But notice that if you have a start-up or a business idea you want to ask someone who already done something like you want to do. You should know when to value other's opinions and when to not value them.

I learnt that if I want someone to understand something and adopt him to his life I got to be the example for it so I don't speak with my words , I speak with my vibe, attitude and actions.

Bottom line, I agree with you 90%
