Hello there!

Confused 17yo here!

Long story short:

I'm having a little too many FTMs piling up.

And I'm really considering to COMMIT.

The reason why I haven't took action yet is because

The pleasure I am feeling right now

Outweighs the pain needed

To take action and to get meteoric pleasure.

I don't know if that made sense.

The goal:
Freedom,
Make something, a job / activity / specialized unit.
That will fuel my monthly expenses.

( Of course through giving value )

I really don't have any monthly expenses yet.
( But I also don't have any sort of cashflow
so no freedom )

After considering my options:
Freelancing,
Offline work,
Making an app / software ...

I noticed that

I didn't really have the domain experience required to find needs and how to solve them.

So I looked locally and checked what I was spending on real life.

I noticed that every Friday,

I would grill some pork belly for my family for Friday dinner.

I noticed that maybe my local community would also like to have a Friday night dinner feast.

I don't really know wether the market will like it or not.

Now,

I'm really considering on going with this small bet.

And is really better that sitting on my butt all day doing nothing.

The plan:

Pre-sell -> asses -> continue or quit depending on market response

I'm currently writing this to get feedback.

Maybe what I'm doing is all wrong.

Or I should do X first.

Or that there's a better process to this.

Or maybe not thinking about something.

Or maybe just overthinking it.

Any feedback / nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure the legalities in the Philippines on selling food with health code and what not, but if its lax, just plan a test night of your feast. Plan a menu with your pork bellies, a side, a drink, whatever. Make flyers to pass out to your friends and family. Maybe get some music or entertainment and have a night called the Fnesse's Pork Belly Feast with a $5 charge. Maybe you can get 20 people or so to come and rock their socks off with your amazing food, get some pics and develop a social media plan. If nobody shows but a few people you will still get some feedback and can grow it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Due to covid,

I'm leaning towards home delivery.

I'm thinking pork belly with drinks after a workweek.

But

I've checked the community Facebook group and saw that there were less buyers than I would have liked.

Still

I'm thinking of taking photos and videos for a Facebook post.

See the reactions / response.

And go from there!

Oh yah forgot about that Covid thing, just moved to a new state and they could care less here and things are pumping.

Sounds like a good plan. What is the community FB group? Once u get going you can start your own group.

Good luck pork belly man!

UPDATE

So after making the offer,

Photos, price and whatnot

I showed it to my mom and her friends

Hoping to get some feedback.

After showing them the offer,

One of her friends started and bursted out laughing.

Embarrassment. . .

After some explaining,

What I got was

• Price was too high.

They said that $35,

for 3 slices and drinks was

TOO EXPENSIVE.

You can buy 1 slice for around $2 back at my old neighborhood.

After some thinking,

Real world realisations came in.

Haha

Common sense hit like a truck.

And then they advised me to go outsource it from somewhere and just make it prettier at home,

Add some drinks, sides etc.

Not going to lie,

I thought that they would just laugh and ignore it.

I really didn't expect them to be this supportive. Kind of.

Now,

Here's what I'll do.

Do some more research cause they also advised me to franchise.

There's like this online franchise something.

Ill read more on that later.

But Im not too keen on franchising.

If not,

I'll find someone to outsource.

And make a MUCH better offer.

Getting over that fear of rejection feels surprisingly good.

My chest kind of feels lighter.

Thanks for reading!
That's all for now (•‿•)
