I want to say to everyone able to read this, you CAN do more.

I joined FLF last summer with a pessimistic, sorry-for-myself outlook on my ability to be a successful entrepreneur. While I knew I was intelligent and creative, I saw what wasn't instead of what was. Let me tell you something, the only way I overcame that was execution. I'd always come up with grandiose ideas of what could be, then I'd tell myself "Yea, but you don't have the resources." "Yea, but you don't have the knowledge." "Yea, but you don't have the connections." I was a yeabut MACHINE. In November I thought to myself one night, "I know I am a good writer, or at least relatively good." "I know how to build websites." "I understand business." I started listing positives. Then I asked, how can I tie all of this together to create value? This was the magic question.

Today I am working diligently on what I believe will be a premier public relations website. How did I get here? I couldn't define PR before this idea hit me? I discovered it by accident, PR is just a label given to the act of creating public awareness on behalf of someone who needs it. I never worked in communications, much less marketing. But here I am, with two corporate partners ready to take a chance on me.

I want everyone on the forum to experience this; the feeling of crushing your own doubts. There is no better high. In a normal job, we never have to exercise the adaptability muscles. However, when you throw yourself in the sh!t, you will adapt (because if you don't, you will fail). The past three months alone I've taught myself enough marketing, web development, networking, negotiation, and journalism to make a gigantic splash. As this gets up and running I will post a formal progress thread.

Exactly.

Out of college I was trying to figure out the best way to write a resume and cover letter and all that BS. After never finding a job I just gave up.

And college didn't help either as it prepared me for a non-existent job with outdated and oldschool material

Then when I turned to self-employment its not that easy as there is no "how to" rather you put the pieces together one by one without someone telling you how. You just have to trust your own intellect and street smarts.

I remember when I made my first $10k at 25. I felt like a baller even though it wasn't a ton of money. To me that $10k didn't mean a shopping spree It meant I didn't have to look for a job for awhile. I remember I went to Acapulco by myself to celebrate,I didn't care I was that happy. And I knew it would put me in a good position to try to turn it into $100k(which I later did).

Interesting. How are you setting yourself apart from other PR agencies to become premier?

What kinda PR strategies you deploying to create this public awareness?
