What alt-coin exchange are you using in the US? Canada?

I've seen this question asked in the other threads, multiple times, including by myself so I figured it's time it had it's own thread.

Here's what I've seen thus far mentioned for trading Alt Coins, anything but bitcoin, ethereum or litecoin, as provided by GDX/Coinbase.

Poloniex - Bitcoin/Digital Asset Exchange
Bittrex.com - Bittrex, The Next Generation Digital Currency Exchange
Kraken | Buy, Sell and Margin Trade Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) - Buy, Sell, & Trade Bitcoin
Binance
https://www.bitfinex.com/ (no new US accounts)

Let's hear it! What's been your experience? Problems? What do you recommend?

I started with Coinbase and then switched to GDAX which is owned by coinable. Also on binance to buy ripple and BNB. I haven't had any problems at all on any of them.

MJ - There's a small distinction that should be made. Its what we call "Broker" Exchanges vs. "Crypto" Exchanges - broker exchanges are where you'll be converting fiat currency into crypto currency. And crypto exchange is where you'll be converting one crypto into another one - mostly for trading. (I just published a video around this yesterday)

Also, the answer to your question also depends on whether you're a US Citizen or not, as there are exchanges around the world that exclude US Citizens because of the regulation.

For Broker exchange - as a US Citizen your best bet is Coinbase. But otherwise, BTCC.com (Hong Kong/China) and for crypto Exchanges your best bet is Bittrex.com - it has the largest crypto pairs. I use, BTCC.com, Bittrex.com and Bitfinex.com

And of course, I'm not trying to push my course, but I do deal with this and more :) Fastlaners get over 67% off if they join before 31 December, using coupon code: FASTLANE - I hope to see you on the inside :)

I'm not trying to push my course, but here's my course. Those types of statements just irritate people.

Just run a marketplace ad or put it in your sig.

The forum is way into crypto now. I'm sure you'll get business.

Since the recent hype of crypto, everyone and their grandmother have crypto courses and are suddenly experts in the field lol.

And yet, we're still asking questions like which is the best exchange :)

I use Binance.

My only issue is I can't withdraw IOTA to my wallet. It's been stuck on the exchange for weeks.

The forum is way into crypto now.

I've noticed that too. I'm sure that is driving lots of traffic to the site like the Tai Lopez thread.

Bittrex is good because of the wide variety of alt coins, but the fees are a bit heavy. If the coin is on both bittrex and binance i prefere binance. But if not, then use bittrex just the fees a bit more

Speaking of, 9 out of 18 Tai Lopez videos in past 2 weeks are bitcoin-related :clench:.

Some I'm sure.

I was referring mainly to the regular users who were already here.

I suggest to use decentralized exchanges like the Waves one.

There are many pros in using decentralized exchanges. Just to name a few:

- Decentralized Servers (harder to hack)
- Available anywhere in the world (impossible to forbid).
- More privacy (decentralized exchanges don't require ID)
- Full control on your money (decentralized exchanges don't store your coins, they just act as a p2p service)
