Hi everybody -
A friend of mine who's interested in investing in apartment buildings turned me on to this site, and I've been thankful ever since. I've been a passive participant for the past couple weeks, but the constant activity and quality of posts has me wanting to take a more active role. I'm here to learn, to help and to share in living the good life!
I've spent a number of years doing software development for a credit card processing company; in particular, developing real-time fraud solutions. But, as of about two years ago, I made the jump into real estate and haven't looked back. Currently, I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area - in particular, I'm in the East Bay for those that are familiar with the area.
My goal (which is probably very similar to other members of the Fastlane) is to generate enough passive income for my wife and I to walk away from our day jobs. How this is accomplished, I don't care. Right now, my approach is through real estate cash flow, but that doesn't mean it will be limited to this. I'm open to all ideas.

P.S. - In case you are wondering, "The Ticket" is a nickname that my dad and I gave to my right arm. I was a baseball player growing up in Montana and being able to throw the ball hard was my ticket out of the state.
