Good day everyone!
I have been lurking around for about 1-2 months now and finally decided to get myself involved into this community as well.
I'm an ex-medical college student who dropped out as he did not see how studying for 14 hours a day to later be working for 36 hours straight on almost each other day would be awesome.
Of course you guys from US probably have things differently, but I was in a not-so-economically-strong EU country, where the graduate doctor salaries are around $1.5k monthly and most doctors work 36 hour shifts always when they can to make ends meet.
Needless to say friends and family thought I were crazy when instead I preferred traveling to another country and studying business administration.
Long story short, while studying, I attempted several projects with some friends, all failed. This summer I finally decided I would stick to something until I make it, and that was when things changed. I started dropshipping to eBay, and now I can see it is turning into a profitable business, slowly becoming an import-retail business.
I would say this forum is one of the things that helped me most in my entrepreneurial path so far.
At first things were really difficult and I would have quit like I did so many times before, but reading about how other people too had the exact same problems like me, on here, made me go forward.
Also the advice that people provide here has no price. In college, despite it being business college, most people are wanterpreneurs. They believe they are the best, but besides this over-confidence or even arrogance, most people have little knowledge or experience. Here, you see people who made it, who are actually profiting 6 and 7 figures, showing their exact ways, and I really like this about this forum. Not shouting how good they are and hitting the chest, but actually helping other people to get started. So thanks MJ for founding this forum and all the people that contribute to it!
And well, I believe this is enough of an introductory post. Just wanted to add that if someone is selling on eBay or Shopify (I am also experimenting with this) and wants to exchange tips and tactics, feel free to PM me! I am always in favour of networking!
Thank you!
