I discovered TMF in early 2015 and it blew my mind.
I was in doubt because it was so radical, yet it made more sense than all the BS people haven been telling me.
But I put it in the backburner when I got into graduate school.
I went into depression because I was putting all my eggs into graduate school and too afraid to start a side business.
I decided to defer in April. Got a job in marketing. Planned to use my salary to invest into my side business.
But 3 days in and I realised playing politics and pleasing your supervisors are more important than doing good work.
6 days in and I was dying to get out.
They fired me on the 8th day because they 'wanted' more from me.
I never felt happier in my life. And that was only after 8 days of working. I can't imagine doing that for the next 40 years.
Graduate school starts in 3 weeks and I'm hustling on the side now.
I will be lurking for a while before growing my rep bank.
