''This is the most readable blog on the internet''

LOL. That was hard to read. Felt like someone just rambling on and on. So many typos and errors.

I wouldn't have finished it except I'm stuck on a plane with nothing else to read.

Well darn-it Kenric you said what I was gonna say! Before commenting, I wanted to know if this was the poster's blog.

I too ... didn't finish it. The piece is littered with spelling and grammatical errors. On a forum, such is forgivable, but in a published blog, there really isn't any excuse. "The Maine reason" ... .uh ... do you mean "main?".

To get regular readership in a blog, clean writing comes first, even before the content. Without that, viewers never understand your message because the message is draped in itchy burlap -- the reader rather go naked that be subjected to it.

If this is your blog, you will need to write a little bit more succinctly, catch the spelling errors, and mind your grammar. You lose credibility the moment a reader sees "Maine" instead of "main".

Cheers,
MJ

PS: Firefox browser has a built in spell-check ... its a life saver!

Safe to assume that the gentleman who started this thread owns the blog.

Actually, I would argue the blogger lost most of his credibility the minute he chose the name of his blog. It screams of a 15 year old's handy work.

I have a blank screen with "F*** EASY MONEY MAKING" at the top.

If the blogger has bad grammar like you all say, then the poster must be the culprit....

Not sure what is worse, the blog entry, the name, or the fact that the guy starting the thread masquerading as if it wasn't his.

all of it was very humorous to me, but then I do not have to deal with policing all these people trying to spam us.

Since it appears the one-post wonder has left the building, I would like to hijack the thread and ask a question...

I want to start a blog of my own, for the least amount of money (none?) possible. I saw that this guy had an actual domain name for his blog, www.f*#@easymoney.com through blogger.com.

When I go to blogger to set up my own blog it wants my domain to be www.myblog'sname.blogspot.com. I don't want that - I want it like this one, or Lyved, or any of the other blogs out there.

How is this done?

PS: I am extremely novice to this world, so I apologize in advance if this sounds like a question I should already know the answer to! :coolgleamA:

You can get your own domain name for about $9 and hosting for about $100 annually. Use Wordpress, you might be able to set it up directly with your host or get it from Wordpress.org. Wordpress is pretty user friendly and you can find a lot of different kinds of themes for free. They also have pretty good free support.

I'm sure Tom will be along any time and make an offer on a name and hosting.

All the Best

Haha, I guess I am that predictable :smxB::smxB::smxB:

Merkin, I believe I have spoken to you about getting a blog set up. I think you should take advantage of our few remaining $24.95 per month slots. We would set the blog up for you, get a free domain name, optimize for search engine!!!

You're given the option of using your own domain or a Blogspot subdomain upon signup.

I myself don't like hosted blogs. The second I see that Blogspot bar at the top, the first thing I think is "This person is not serious about their blog".

Hosting is only like $5 a month. If you can't come up with that, why bother? Not to mention you have ZERO control over it or it's future.

Under hosted solutions such as Blogspot, if they change their terms, go under, are acquired etc, they can do anything to your blog and content. If they fail to renew their domain (out of stupidity or neglect) you're blog is hung out to dry along with 1000's others. Its like having your entire online presence locked up in an Ebay store ... Ebay changes their terms and you have zero say.

Wow, thats something I never considered. Thanks for the information.

This pertains mainly to if I do not register my own domain, right? If I go w/ the blogspot.blogname.com, right? If it is under my own domain, this isn't a concern?
